Holiday Musings

I am getting ready to leave for Jamaica soon and am feeling reflective. I’ve only been back home a few weeks, and packing my suitcase feels both familiar and strange. This will be my last travel adventure of 2016 and what a year it has been. Traveling to India (2x), Vietnam, Mexico (2x), Costa Rica, London, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel makes me feel like the luckiest girl in the world. The people I meet and the places I experience change me as a person in so many ways. I feel more connected to everyone and I see the world in a different, more magical light. Yes, there may be darkness and suffering, but there is also so much Love out there and I feel it profoundly when I travel.

Many people struggle during the holiday season and I am sending out so much love and compassion to them. I know that feeling. I have experienced the Christmas blues many times in my life. For the most part, 2016 was amazing for me but I had a few stumbles a long the way. Losing my Grandpa Gene was definitely the most difficult loss I felt in 2016. Even though I will be missing his physical presence this year, I know I will feel his spirit with me.

In closing, I want to send out some Holiday Love to all of you who read this blog. I wish you all great happiness, laughter, and good health. I pray that you feel loved. And I pray the year to comes holds amazing adventures for us all.
