Week Two in London – Very Little Sleep but Many Amazing Adventures

Had another amazing week in London. It went by in a blink of an eye and was so much fun! On Wednesday evening we went to a fancy dinner at Lou Lous where I met Nicole’s friend Caroline who I instantly fell in love with. She is a gorgeous reality television star and has a heart of gold. Her friends were also incredible and after dinner we went dancing and had so much fun!

On Thursday, I spent most of the day writing while Nicole worked. When she got home we had a girls night in just the two of us. It was exactly what I needed. Both of our lives are so busy, especially hers, so having an evening to sip wine and have deep conversations filled my heart with so much joy and Love. We have been friends for so many years and I cherish every moment we get to spend together. And even though I have loved all our late night adventures, staying at home is more my speed and was perfect in every way.

On Friday I hit the hotel gym solo and then spent the rest of the day strolling around London and enjoying the sunshine (yes, it was a sunny day in London) before heading to the screening of Moana, the Disney movie Nicole was featured in. I won’t lie. I cried. The movie was incredibly uplifting but knowing that my best friend has a role in a Disney movie made my heart swell with pride.

Saturday I had another intense workout with Nicole and her fierce trainer Svava (www.thevikingmethod.com) I love working out with Nicole. She is so incredibly strong and she inspires me to push myself hard. I am literally shaking after our sweaty sessions and it feels amazing.

Next up was another day at the xFactor. Behind the scenes it is a whirlwind of crazy in the coolest was possible. Once again, I received another amazing facial from Nilam who I got to know better that day. She is a phenomenal woman and is so generous. Everyone should check out her website http://www.nilam-patel.com. I highly recommend her services. She has a light touch and a beautiful heart. She is also famous for her skill at shaping and defining brows. She offered to shape mine and I was so excited. I felt like a princess as she and Nicole’s glam squad pampered me. I am so grateful for their kindness.

The show was incredible and Nicole shined onstage as she always does. After we went to another judges dinner where we laughed, ate, and enjoyed some wine. Later we headed back to the Chiltern to meet up with the fun and fabulous Caroline. She introduced us to another incredible group of humans who were inspiring to be around. We had lovely conversations into the early morning hours.

On Sunday we woke up sleepy but determined to hit the gym. After another kick ass workout I was supposed to accompany Nicole to xFactor but opted to stay behind to rest, write, and recuperate from another crazy awesome week. As I write this post, I am relaxing on the sofa watching the xFactor. To be honest, as much as I enjoy being on set where the action is, I am so happy to be relaxing with my feet up watching my best friend and her contestants shine so brightly.

Tomorrow I will be reunited with my Yoga Sister Claire who I haven’t seen since early 2015 when we met at Yoga Teacher Training. From the instant we met we formed a deep bond. I can’t wait to give her the biggest hug.

I have one more week in London filled with more adventures and I am looking forward to all that lies ahead. And the following week I can’t wait to embrace my family and friends. I have been traveling for the last three months so it will be nice to rest my wandering feet for awhile.

  1. Most people try and compartmentalize parts of their day, but you have like a totally different life from one place to the next, America, Costa Rica, India, London. Glad to see that you are happy everywhere.

    1. What a wonderful thing to say/write. And YES I feel blessed every single second whether I am doing yoga in Costa Rica, singing and seva in India, or living the fancy life in London. Just so damn happy to be alive. Miss you Sreejit! See you back in India very soon!
